Race Time!

Welcome to another blog from me!

Today is a big day in the build-up to the big channel swim! Today I race in the national swimathon, 5000 meters and I’m aiming for a time of 1 hour 40 minutes. This means 50 metres a minute for the 1.40 hours. I will also NOT be using tumble turns as a part of my training strategy as I’ve refused to do them as they won’t be used in the channel!

Today also marks the start of the open water season, and as from Monday I will be back out in the lakes and sea. This is the start to the final count down to the two live swims and in 4 months time the big English Channel swim!

As we get closer to the swims we will be putting up more blogs, videos and pictures of the build up to the events (and the events themselves!) as well as kicking up fundraising to the next gear, so make sure to follow us on Twitter and Facebook to get the latest information!

Last but definitely not least, please keep donating to Leukaemia & Lymphoma Research using the link below, and many thanks to all of you that have donated so far! This is the reason I am doing all this, and I appreciate every penny you can spare.
